Nubbins

The shipping status read ‘Delivered to Front Door’ yet no such thing had happened. No wonderful new addition had arrived.

When you wait 2 years to finally buy the rug for the house you’d thought you’d never have, to have it not show up on your door step at the appointed time is a soul crushing disappointment.

There were more than a few angry calls made to FedEx today.

Thankfully all was put right at about midnight, when the neighbor brought over our rug, which was delivered to her erroneously.

So, after two years, buying a house, and a harrowing shipping debacle our living room floor was finally fitted with a proper covering, and Pointy Shoes finally has the rug of her dreams.

The rug is hooked with thick strands of colorful wool into a shaggy mat.
Each nub is about the thickness of an index finger, and about as long.

Broken Thumbs has some reservations about the rug’s over dark appearance when viewed from afar, but he has been since overruled. Pointy Shoes is keeping the faith, and will be decorating the living room further to suit her colorful new acquisition.

As with any new rug, it sheds like a dog with a bad case of mange. After breaking in the new rug, watching a movie (Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil) Broken Thumbs collected this ball of excess.
